2016 Youth Triathlon Training is starting in March.   Now in our 5th Season of training and racing as a Team.    Athletes that 5 years ago were just getting off of training wheels are now Regional and National Level Triathletes.   2016 is going to be another year of growth for the Team,   Join us!   The "Youth Team" has two training options 1 day per week, or 2 days per week on Wednesday's and Sunday's.   The Team is open to ages 5 and up, and beginner to advance athletes.  We offer youth athletes year round training options and look forward to meeting your family and triathlete!
The Kids Triathlon Training program is focused on developing technique and endurance for both running and cycling. We do strength training for swimming,  and can recommend many options for swim training outside of our program.  The run training will consist of a mix of drills, cardio, intervals, and technical instruction.
The biking consists of a warm up, intervals, endurance, and skills.  A few of the skills practiced are cadence, braking, transitions, position, shifting, seated, and standing spinning.  The athletes may also use stationary resistance trainers to practice the skills.
Team Austin Multi-Sport is a year round program providing a gateway to future athletic goals.   One door that has opened is the announcement from USAT that Triathlon is an emerging NCAA sport at the college level.  Contact Coach Tom at the store or by phone or email to answer questions.

USA Triathlon Welcomes Quintana Roo and Litespeed as Exclusive Bike Partners
Annual members to receive rebate through new Gold-Level partnership

Chattanooga, Tennessee (December 18, 2013). — USA Triathlon today announced a new Gold-Level partnership with Quintana Roo (QR) and Litespeed, who will serve as the Exclusive Bike Partner for the National Governing Body through 2016.

American Bicycle Group (ABG), the parent company of Quintana Roo and Litespeed, will provide USA Triathlon annual members with an exclusive discount bundle that includes a cash rebate and free hat or shirt with purchase of Quintana Roo or Litespeed bicycles sold at any QR or Litespeed retailer. The program will launch January 1, and will apply to all 2014 bikes. Details will be listed on the respective websites the last week of December. Two Quintana Roo frames will also be awarded through a special promotion at the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships for each year of the agreement.

Additionally, ABG will support elite athletes in the Olympic pipeline as the Official Bike Partner of the USA Triathlon National Team Program leading up to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Select USA Triathlon high performance teams, including up-and-coming athletes in the Elite Triathlon Academy (ETA) and Collegiate Recruitment Program (CRP), will be supported through this official partnership.

"Our new relationship with USA Triathlon is the perfect step for Quintana Roo and Litespeed." said Peter Hurley, President & CEO of American Bicycle Group. "Formally establishing ties with USA Triathlon will give us the opportunity to support and grow non-draft and draft-legal triathlons here in the United States. We are also excited that the USA Triathlon National Team Program will be training and racing on Litespeed road bikes for their draft-legal requirements."

“We are thrilled that American Bicycle Group is joining our family of sponsors to serve as USA Triathlon’s official bike partner,” said Chuck Menke, USA Triathlon Marketing & Communications Director. “Quintana Roo and Litespeed are part of an established, forward-thinking U.S.-based company in the endurance community, and we look forward to sharing that knowledge and technology with our age-group and elite athletes in the years to come.”

Two-time ITU World Cup champion and CRP athlete Katie Hursey is one of the athletes who benefits from the ABG-USA Triathlon relationship. “I am so grateful to have been provided with such a high-quality Litespeed bike through USA Triathlon’s new partnership. The opportunity to ride a well-designed piece of equipment is a huge step toward helping me and other athletes reach our goals at the highest levels of the sport.”
